Get engaged!

Posted on March 12, 2010 with 0 comments
It's another kind of love matter than some of my previous postings, here I will show you one of my big loves of my life :-)
I am a bit surprised that I am still getting the "Where are you from?" type of questions all the time, although one can see it everywhere about me: "Hungary", "Hungarian". All my bios, profiles etc start with "I am a Hungarian artist", "The Hungarian singer..." and such - don't people read even the very first words about another person when they connect up with them???
Anyway, here is one thing to show you where am I from, my forever love, Budapest (let's take this, to make it simple; those who really want to know, can find out that I am from the Northern-East part of Hungary). A friend of mine just showed me a video about it: Get engaged, with some Hungarian music of course, by Balkan Fanatik, featuring the great female folk singer Ágnes Herczku.

Why did you come to me?

In the article on How not to choose the right partner? Mistake #4 I mentioned a wonderful romance I have had, and that I have written a few poems to that man. I pointed to the Andrea's Stories blog (which I just updated a little bit a minute ago) to see the poems, but now I realized that I have only posted some of them on Facebook - so here is one. WHY DID YOU COME TO ME? Why did you come to me? Why did you call me? Why did you listen to me? Why did you look at me? Why did you talk to me? Why did you play with me? Why did you need me? Why did you get me? Why did you take me home? Why did you let me go? Why did you want me more? Why did you make me want you more? Why did you lift me up? Why did you give me fun? Why didn't you rush with that? Why didn't you break my heart? Why did you only make me smile? Why did you never make me cry? Why did you tell me sweet little lies? Why did you come for me from 1000 miles? Why did you say:"I wanna be with you"? Why did you make me wanna be with [...]

From the previous post How not to choose the right partner? Mistake #3, simply follows Mistake #4: when you don't look, only listen.  This one should be very simple, yet so many times we fall for the trap... Interesting that I have planned this topic as the next one for my series, and yesterday I bumped into exactly this in two different places. One was a friend's status update on Facebook, the other one was a blog post I read called No More I Love You's, by Wolynski (who has also contributed to my Mistake #3 article with his comment). Of course, the flowers, whispering I Love You's and sweet nothings, candle light and all that jazz, will fancy your girl and make a romance romance, they are all beautiful, they are the salt & pepper of a relationship - but would you eat salt & pepper by itself, without the meal? And here we are back at Mistake #2 where one should know first what kind of things one wants to share with the loved one, what would be the meal. And for that, [...]

Be Cool

Not the Travolta movie (oh, I love that!), but a quick note on a recent happenstance. I started to write a series on relationships (How not to choose the right partner? Mistake #1, Mistake#2, Mistake #3 and there will come a few more), some of you have read it.
According to a few feedback, certain people became quite disturbed by it and the examples I gave (without names, of course).
For the time being, I withdrew my articles as drafts, until I decide if I wanna keep them or delete them forever. Probably I will publish them again, because from others I heard that it was helpful. (UPDATE, 2/March: I did restore them.)
What I have to say about it right now is this: there is no reason to get strongly emotional about it and hate me for it. Sure you can do it, if you think that that will solve anything.
But. If you recognize the persons in my examples of how to mess up a relationship and see that it is indeed so with them, why don't you help your friends with the issue? Or, if it's not your [...]
